MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (ELECTRICAL)

• Carry out any jobs that need emergency rectification at service station equipment’s (electro mechanical). Attend to complaints received from end users and physically visit the site to ascertain the extent of the problem, carrying out any minor repairs, or contacting maintenance contractors for bigger problems.

• Inspect, monitor and follow-up the maintenance contractors to ensure that required standard of work is provided and all reported problems are rectified satisfactorily.

• Revisit sites having had problems to inspect and assess the work done, ensuring the problem is rectified as per standards and preparing a written report and submit to Maintenance Supervisor.

• Check the preventive maintenance reports submitted by maintenance contractors for the air conditioning units and refrigeration, electro-mechanical in Al Ain Service Station and Offices, determining if any equipment is due for replacement, ensuring the required level of quality service is constantly provided, and submitting report to Supervisor General Maintenance along with recommendations.

• Check the 3rd party contractor in carrying out a variety of maintenance jobs for the Service Station and Offices in Al Ain, undertaking daily rotational checking and inspection of electro-mechanical areas such as air condition, UPS, chillers, electrical switch gear, MCC room, panel boards, building management system, control room, fire alarm system, public address systems, access control system, elevator, cradle items and civil works. Rectify any minor problems of urgent nature and report any major problems to the Supervisor General Maintenance and maintenance contractor. Review the daily check list generated by the Contractor as per the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedule service reports.

• Guide the maintenance contractor to access the various utilities installed in the office buildings and service station in accordance with the as-built drawings, providing the necessary information to perform the various preventive/ breakdown maintenance works.

• Purchase and locally procure small electrical items of urgent nature using petty cash.

• Attend to various complaints at Service Station and Offices in Al Ain related to maintenance received through the Oracle ERP system for electro-mechanical, air conditioning and refrigeration.

• Operate and maintain the projectors, audio video systems, sound system and P.A. systems in office buildings/ service stations auditorium and other conference halls.

• Conduct regular routine tests as per the Preventive Maintenance schedule for fuelling equipment’s, fire alarm, fire pumps, security system, access control system, standby generator, standby emergency chiller and emergency light to ensure proper functioning

• Attend all assigned breakdowns promptly, carry out necessary repair works and ensure that equipment is returned to service as soon as possible, while ensuring all safety precautions are taken.

• Ensure the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area (safety checks).

• Undertake filing duties of the entire completed Preventive Maintenance schedule on a regular basis in order to maintain updated records, carrying out duties of other Maintenance Technicians during their absent/ annual leave.

• Attend to end user queries and requests in the Supervisor’s absence.

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

• Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

• Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.

• Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices

• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management

• HSE, Engineering, Procurement department

• Service station and offices in Ali Ain

• Team Leader and other employees in department

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical and Wiring Repairs, or equivalent.

• 3-5 years of experience in General Maintenance department in Oil and Gas Industry.

• With UAE Driving License for manual gear
