- Design or implement supply chain that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Confer with department managers to forecast demand and create supply chain plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
- Attend project and Management meetings as required.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
- Review all contractual agreements for all sub-contractors & vendors.
- Agree critical KPI’s for vendors and implement quarterly reviews to go through performance
- Working with QHSE and Engineering team participate in Vendor Audits & evaluation.
- Working with Stores & Logistic Supervisor review current Stock Keeping Units to ensure they are set at the right level for the business
- Implement Cycle stock checks including spot stock checks to ensure stock matches system status
- Working with key internal stakeholders ensure sharing of information on upcoming/critical projects for the business are managed and communicated within Supply Chain function for awareness
- Evaluate and select freight forwarders and courier companies for the movement of shipments. Working with the Stores & Logistics Supervisor, Monitor their performance levels and actively seek new service suppliers to improve efficiencies and reduce costs where possible. Maintain information on export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
- Working with the Stores & Logistics Supervisor Ensure the documentation meets customs/client requirements, packing specifications and compliance with overseas countries regulations.
- Maintain, update and implement documented controls and risk management procedures in order to minimize non-compliance against API Q2 requirements.
- Liaison with various government and non-government departments such as: ADNOC Logistics, VAT, Import tariffs, Department for Transport, Shipping Companies, Insurance Brokers etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent Qualification in supply chain management. (E)
- Awards/Certificates in a relevant discipline (P)
- IMDG – Dangerous Goods by Sea (P)
- Minimum of 10 years total working experience in Supply Chain Role (with 5+ years managing team / in supervisory role) (E)
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in relevant sector (energy / oil & gas) (E)
- Proven track record at management level of delivering results within an organization (E)
- Knowledge of Packing and shipping of goods internationally (E)
- Knowledge and understanding of managing vendor audits in line with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 & API Specification Q2 standard requirements (P)
- Experience of working with Navision or other inventory packages (P)
- Working with staff at all levels (E)
- Proficient use in IT, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (E)
