- Assist attorneys with preparation of legal documents such as briefs, contracts, and pleadings.
- Maintain and organise physical and electronic filing systems.
- Coordinate meetings, hearings, and appointments for attorneys.
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant information.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties professionally.
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process legal forms and documents (e.g., subpoenas, summonses, affidavits).
- Assist in managing attorney calendars and deadlines.
- Assist in billing and invoicing processes.
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant.
- Proficiency in legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Billing software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
