· Develop, publish, review, and revise the HSE policy, manual, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring compliance with ISO 45011, ISO 14001 and all relevant UAE regulations.
· Assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing directives associated with the operation and maintenance of contract programs for HSE compliance purposes.
· Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required forms, records and reports relative to the company HSE programs.
· Design and develop a comprehensive package of HSE training courses for the company.
· Review the monthly program meeting data for the HSE section.
· Maintain the HSE training log and ensure that all HSE personnel are trained to the latest version of the appropriate standards.
· Assist senior management in preparing for external HSE audits.
· Lead investigations into workplace incidents resulting in the injury or illness of employees, and/or damage to equipment and facilities.
· Ensure compliance with all company safety directives and other practices as set forth by management.
· Monitor safety deficiencies and coordinate corrective action as necessary.
· Provide technical management and expertise to ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations.
· Conduct HSE Committee meetings with area managers and/or supervisors.
· Ensure compliance to the Hazardous Waste Management Plan and Emergency Response Plan.
· Perform compliance reviews of manifests and shipping documents to ensure accurate disposition of all waste being generated by company-controlled sites.
· Interact with the UAE Government to secure permits as required.
· Submit contractually required reports.
· Prepare and present HSE data for the annual HSEMS management review and any other management meetings.
· Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
· Perform other duties as required by the Senior Manager, QualityBenefits· Bachelor’s degree in environmental science required, master’s degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field
· ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is required.
· National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) general certification is preferred.
· A minimum of six to eight years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role is required, in an HSE role is preferred.
· A minimum of six years of experience in a technical environment is preferred.
· An ability to assess procedures and processes for compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is required.
· Familiarity with UAE industrial standards, safety and environmental standards, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA) standards are required.· Knowledge of ISO 9001 is an advantage.
· Effective leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
· Knowledge of military safety regulations and policies is an advantage.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive trend analysis reports is an advantage.
· Knowledge of workman’s compensation, and applicable UAE laws and regulations is preferred.
· Knowledge of training and instructional techniques are an advantage.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is preferred.
· An ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required, fluent in Arabic is preferred.
· Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.·
