- Provides mailroom service as designated.
- Collects and distributes official mail.
- Maintains housekeeping store/laundry inventory.
- Maintains accounts of medical and general waste and laundry washing charges.
- Stocks office supplies as needed.
- Ensures that supplies are ordered and follows up with Materials Management.
- Records work promptly and files accordingly.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Uses initiative to produce work of high standard.
- Anticipates the needs of superiors and plans effectively.
- Assists in the development of housekeeping standards and departmental policies and procedures.
- Provides housekeeping reception and telephone service. Ensures that prioritized items are immediately actioned.
- Periodically rotates into the other services' secretarial support areas to be updated on all aspects of the work.
