Operate water injection plant under the guidance of Senior Operator WIP, and in accordance with standard operating instructions to ensure that production targets are met, and that plant is operating efficiently, safely and economicallyKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Monitors control panels or on site instruments in accordance with standard plant operating procedures and instructions, thus ensuring a continuous check on the efficient running of the plant and equipment in his assigned area.2. Operates equipment and facilities in accordance ZADCO Operating and HSE standards along with instructions from his supervisor, takes immediate action in case of any abnormal function, disturbance or alarm either by adjusting process parameters in accordance with standard operating procedures or by referring to directed Senior Operator.3. Shuts down the plant partially or totally in case of emergency, and starts it up again in accordance with operating instructions or as Senior Operator.4. Logs operating incidents occurring during shift for records and for counterpart on the next shift, and discusses incidents with his supervisor.5. Leads firefighting operations in his area until taken over by high authority.6. Carry out First Line Maintenance and servicing as set by the work system guidelines and instructions.7. Ensures proper / safe housekeeping after completion of any maintenance job keeping work area clean, tidy and safe to work.8. Looks for any modification / improvement in the system design to increase productivity / safe operation.9. Prepares equipment while handing over for any maintenance activities shutdown and start-up equipment, keeping equipment as well as personnel safety in mind.10. Provides assistance during any maintenance activity so that the maintenance crew is fully aware of their working environment.11. Gives orientation and guidance to new trainees / UAE Nationals.12. Carry out the job function in accordance with HSE commitment and policy to achieve strategic objectives and targets stipulated in ZADCO HSE management system document.13. Unload chemical drums into tanks & from the boats and prepare chemical batches & maintaining the record, and adjust chemical injection rates as per instruction.14. HP pumps start-up and auxiliaries related pump start-up.15. Collect samples from various points in the plant and passes them to the laboratory for analysis.16. Monitor start-up/shut-down sequence of equipment’s (like filters, deaerators, vacuum pumps, booster pumps and high pressure pumps) and coordinate with FCC Senior Panel Operators as instructed.17. Takes daily log sheets reading in routine intervals.18. Carries out monthly planned activities and follow-up and updated the same in computer.19. Follow-up maintenance activities in plant & ensure that all safety precautions prescribed in work permit are followed.20. Familiarize himself with chemicals MSDS & handling procedures.21. Knowledge of proper use of PPE.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:a.) Completion of Secondary technical education (12 years), plus direct vocational training (6 - 12 months).b.) 5 years’ experience in a similar plant or water treatment plant.c.) Good knowledge of English.
