· Manages and develops the department's budget, along with the administrative, legal and financial actions across the department.
· The role holder project manages events that are large in scale or where the volume of events requires direct operational involvement.
· Reviews, advices and refines the visitor experience project proposals and feasibility reports supporting in providing timeframes, funding parameters and resource allocation.
· Reviews units progress and status analytical reports on trends of department activities and provides advice and recommendations for further actions to Unit Heads and to department Director.
· Supports the units under the department in complex, blocked and other unforeseen circumstances that is impacting in the delivery of daily activities, projects, and other units requirements.
· Researches and identifies the technologies, tools and systems that would enhance and provide efficiencies to the department activities, in coordination with IT Department.
· Ensure the licenses, standards and smooth running of events are achieved through required planning and organising of necessary support.
· Responsible to manage the calendar of events and space availability for events across the venue in collaboration with the Cultural Engagement team.
· Works closely with the procurement team to identify preferred suppliers and helps in the creation of tenders for event agencies, as required.
· Ensures operational excellence in achieving KPI’s, working towards establishing a sustainable financial model by achieving any set financial targets and driving internal process improvement and efficiency and, ensuring the offering of attractive products or tools that lead this enablement.
· As a brand ambassador the role holder will consider the customer prospective in all projects - working to understand and manage all stakeholders.
· As a leader the role holder will create learning opportunities by collaboration, transfer of knowledge, or developing employees in the respective area, that drive employee engagement and growth across the Museum.BenefitsMinimum Expat Experience Requirements· Events management experience in a museum or related institution· 10 years post graduate experience· Fluency in English and Arabic or French
