Job Description:Clinical Care
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patientsafety and reducesthe likelihood of health care errors.
  • Provides direct care and related dutiesin NMC Provita and maintains currentknowledge of nursingpractice and standards
  • Plans, implements and evaluatesnursing care given to assignedpatient in an effective and organized manner
  • Provides for the physical,psychological and socialneeds of the patient and families
  • Is familiar with, and understands, the Severe Care Domains of DOH
Communication
  • Communicates with a rangeof people on a range of matters.
  • Communicates appropriately and clearly to Charge Nurse, Shift in Charge, coworkers and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Consults with other departments as appropriate to provide a multidisciplinary approachto the patient's needs.
  • Communicates the mission, vision and valuesof the facility.
Personal and People Development
  • Develops own skills and knowledge and provides information to others to help their development.
  • Recognizes the necessity to continuously developskills and acquireadditional knowledge appropriate to the position.
  • Attends training sessions offeredby NMC ProVita, and upholdsprofessional portfolio and 20 CME per year as requiredfor licensure.
  • Dresses appropriately to the expectations of the specific work areasand Occupational Healthand Safety Policy.

  • Contributes to the improvement of services.
  • Evaluates own and others'work when needed.
  • Makes suggestions to improveservices.

  • Participates in allocated task force groupsand project work as required.

  • Participates in, contributes to, and implements quality improvement initiatives and principles.
  • Monitors and evaluates operations and services in order to identify and correct problems, improve systems and ensure a safe, quality service.
  • Participates in internal auditprograms, and understands the value of quality indicators for nursing practiceimprovement.
  • Understands the process for sentinel eventsand incident reporting.

  • They shall undertake his/her roles and responsibilities in accordance with general requirements of OSHAD SF - Element 01-Roles and responsibilities and self-regulation.
  • Familiarize themselves and comply with all OSH policies, standards and procedures that are relevantfor their workplace.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Active Basic Life Support training
  • 2 years minimum clinical experience and recent ICU/long term care unit assignment
  • Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment
