:Job Specific Accountabilities· Drives H/D road tanker from terminal loading bay to various customer or filling station/depot locations and back, according to dispatch schedules and work shifts.· Inspects the vehicle before loading to ensure that routine maintenance checks have been carried out by workshop personnel and informs any defects to Dispatch Supervisor. Performs various checks like availability of hoses and couplings in the vehicle. Ensures that product compartment of the vehicle is empty before loading any products. Checks tyres and lights and ensures that fuel tanks are full before proceeding on trips.· Collects the FAN (Filling Advice Note) from Dispatch Supervisors for loading of product into the vehicle. Perform various checks before starting the loading operations like vehicle capacity is matching the FAN receipt, check on the filling system and meter, earthing system, remove the stopper etc. Ensures that compartments are sealed after loading.· Conduct safe loading operations at loading by ensuring that house pipe and coupling are properly connected with pump, select the loading compartment, enter loading quantity and monitor the loading activity, seal vehicle after loading. Report to supervisor in case of any emergency or abnormality in loading operations.· Collects PDN/PTNs from the terminal gate after loading is finished. Hands over PDN/PTN-s to customers/filling stations for their signature and returns them to Dispatch Supervisors after delivery of products.· Connects and disconnects hoses to storage tanks at customer/ filling station/depot sites.· Attends vehicle in the event of an accident or breakdown, until the arrival of workshop crew.· Performs duties according to dispatch schedules and work shifts, and at any time required by delivery requirements, as per Transport supervisors’ instructions.RequirementsMinimum QualificationIntermediate School, Secondary School, DiplomaMinimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills3 years of experience in driving H/D vehicles for transporting inflammable petroleum productsProfessional CertificationsHeavy Vehicle License
