:Principal Accountabilities:· Direct, supervise and lead assigned Contract & Procurement Engineers in administering Contracts, advise them on interpretation of contractual Terms and conditions, company policies, procedures, and general contractual principles.· Provide guidance on contract matters, such as Variations and Amendments, strategies and procedures, to management, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting procedures.· Responsible for preparing /assist in preparing the management report and shareholder faxes on Contract Administration where Contract Engineers are remotely placed in Contractor yards. Update and incorporate in MAXIMO Contract Variations/ Amendments.· In critical cases, Prepare and compile all Contractual correspondence and notices to EPC Contractor and outside agencies, to ensure viability, legality, interpretation and ease of administration and protect Company’s interests.· Review and monitor the administration of Provisional Sums incorporated in Contracts. Monitor the validity of all contracts and guarantees and ensure its timely extensions, including insurance coverage.· Assist in evaluating contractor’s request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors and contribute to standardization of Vendor List. Make suggestions to standardization of equipment and services.· Validate the development and implementation of all contractor procedures for conformity with the Contract. Checks conformity of all documentations prepared during Contract Administration.· Supervise and advise Contract Engineers in Validating Variation /change orders. Coordinate on behalf of PMT in issuing Contract Variation Orders/ Amendments and ensure corresponding approvals are obtained by PMT in accordance with company procedure. Ensure all Variation Orders/ Amendments are entered in Company ERP (MAXIMO) system and document the approvals obtained.· Contractually analyze the claims for avoidance/ mitigation of any disputes and maintain accurate, complete and comprehensive records of any disputes for future arbitration/ litigation if any.· Review and endorse contractor’s requests for issuance of completion certificates and tenability of such request in accordance with the provisions of the contractPrincipal Accountabilities (continued):· Supervise and Coordinate the final ‘close-out’ of completed contract(s) by ensuring proper resolution of all outstanding issues, viz warranties, punch lists, performance report, financial close out, release letter etc.· On the basis of lessons learned recommend changes and/or improvements in written procedures, standards and work documents as part review cycle.
