- Develop, Lead, control and monitor business risk strategy identifying possible risk areas and ensure alignment with the corporate business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain a system for risk identification, measurement, management, and reporting in the operating procedures. Carry out walkthrough activities to verify the effectiveness of the mitigation measures.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive program that ensures legal, regulatory and corporate policy requirements are embedded in the business activities of the company and compliance issues are properly reported and monitored.
- Design and execute testing to validate the implementation of corrective action plans aimed at mitigating compliance risk.
- Research and analyse best practices in order to enhance risk management in the company and maintain current knowledge and repository (database) of applicable laws and regulations, keeping abreast of recent changes.
- Ensure proper reporting and investigation of violations or potential violations of the standard procedures and practices in the company that could create a potential risk
- Support the department manager in formulating and communicating the ADNOC Distribution’s risk appetite framework with key stakeholders and I n defining an integrated Risk Management framework including ERM Policy and ERM Procedure
- With guideline form the Department manager, participate in implementing an appropriate infrastructure of policies, processes, personnel, reports and systems for managing and monitoring key enterprise and operational risks.
- Review the ERM Policy and Procedure to ensure consistency of practice and compliance with the regulatory requirements and international best practice risk management standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, consistent and sustainable process for identifying, prioritizing, monitoring, controlling and reporting key business risks that might impact the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives and performance goals.
- Manage risk reports from business and functional units and communicate the status of key risks to management for enhanced decision-making.
- Participate in training, developing and assisting the Risk Champions, providing guidance and tools to facilitate effective risk management within all business lines and Functions
- Ensure risks are captured and updated on periodic basis in the risk registers, quantified, rated.
- Drive ERM System enhancements and ensure the tool can support the continued momentum of Enterprise Risk Management to provide crucial risk analytics.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to Corporate Governance and Code of Conduct framework
