Mechanical Technician

• Check, service, repair and maintain all Company equipment.

• Inspect and assess the mechanical & hydraulic systems to determine the requirements for refurbishment, replacement or repair.

• Repair or replace defective and/or worn parts and components.

• Attend daily site briefings.

• Generate accurate Engineer Inspection reports of assets and equipment.

• Log and report information in the maintenance job sheets.

• Liaise with Engineering Department to obtain information to assist the build of new equipment.

• Liaise with other departments to promote suitable improvements to the process, assets and equipment.

• Instruct site based operational staff on the correct use and operation of an asset.

• Source information from third party representatives as necessary.

• Following all Company and HSE procedures

• Addressing any concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction with Company procedures

• Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel

• Travelling offshore to check, service & repair equipment as required.

• Be prepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training as required for offshore travel.

• Servicing & maintaining mechanical and hydraulic equipment / machinery (E)

• Ability to work well with staff at all levels (E)

• Building mechanical & hydraulic systems (P)

• Working with heavy plant machinery (P)

• Working with the oil & gas or energy industries (P)

• ONC level or equivalent in a technical or Engineering discipline (E)

• NVQ Level 3 (E)

• Forklift Certificate (P)

• Certificate in a relevant discipline (P)

• BOSEIT (P)
