:JOB PURPOSE:RESPONSIBLE FOR SAFE, TIMELY AND COST-EFFECTIVE ACHIEVEMENT OF ROTATING MACHINERY AVAILABILITY AND RELIABILITY TARGETS AS DIRECTED BY THE COMPANY MAINTENANCE POLICY AND IN LINE WITH INDUSTRY STANDARDS, CODES AND PRACTICES. PROVIDES EXPERT TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO SITE MAINTENANCE TEAMS PERTAINING TO ROTATING MACHINERY ASSETS. PLAN, DIRECT, COORDINATE AND ASSIST ALL ROTATING MACHINERY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE BUSINESS UNIT.Plan, direct, coordinate and assist in rotating equipment maintenance works in collaboration with site teams, colleagues and line management. Ensure optimized resources and downtime for all rotating machinery maintenance activities minimizing impact on business continuity. Develop and implement systems and procedures for efficient maintenance of rotating machinery and continuous operational performance improvement.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Provide Technical expertise with experience-based knowledge to support all rotating equipment maintenance activities of the Business unit.
  • Direct and supervise the onshore based activities of maintenance, Repair and refurbishment of wide variety of Rotating equipment.
  • Coordinate with front line maintenance teams and other support teams to implement various rotating equipment maintenance activities in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Prepare suitable Scope of work for execution of maintenance and refurbishment of rotating equipment removed from sites.
  • Development and execution of rotating machinery maintenance strategy using established processes.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are prepared/executed in compliance with Company HSE requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior rotating equipment engineers.
  • Influencing maintenance of the facilities such that they achieve acceptable levels of Operability and Maintainability.
  • Review proposed new project designs and specifications with respect to their maintainability. Provide options and recommendations relating to maintenance and repair issues.
  • Participate in brown field and Greenfield project activities to ensure maintainability/reliability concerns are taken care of in the new designs.
  • Prepare the maintenance procedures and specifications according to Company strategies.
  • Select the equipment spare parts and give support in the definition of their management procedures (Warehousing, supply, preservation, etc).
  • Provide support in the development of the CMMS/RCM.
  • Contributing to the development of a comprehensive Operating and Maintenance Philosophy that identifies requirements for monitoring, testing, adjusting and repairing.
  • Prepare and manage Rotating Machinery maintenance contracts to ensure availability of valid contracts for all relevant equipment.
  • Promote and assure the continuous improvement of the maintenance processes following field feedbacks.
  • Liaise with Quality/Inspection department on maintenance related activities.
  • Contribute to define the yearly maintenance budget.
  • Coordinate with reliability teams for implementing updated preventive and predictive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Recommend modifications and enhancement in order to improve the reliability and availability of rotating machinery.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and Liaise with vendors and support teams for follow up on RCAs and related recommendations.
  • Review and ensure contractors adheres to HSE rules and regulations in particular and to the Company rules and regulations in general. Ensures the observance of HSE rules and regulations by junior team members with proper cascading of information.
  • Train, guide, lead and contribute to the development of rotating machinery maintenance personnel including UAE nationals.
  • Support Emiratization Program through training and development of UAE national junior employees in the role of Mentor/coach/assessor etc in line with Company approved development program.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
  • Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

  • Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practices.
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal
  • Report directly to the Maintenance support Team Leader (USSU).
  • Regular contacts with counterparts, team leaders and mangers at Offshore Sites as required for business. Internal coordination with colleagues and leaders within the Company to follow-up and co-ordinate the business activities.
  • Coordination with other Business Units and Support Units as required for business activities.
External
  • Regular coordination with Contractors, Vendors, OEMs, Third Party Inspectors, etc.
  • Interaction with counterparts in company Group Companies as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 5 to 15 years’ experience in Rotating equipment discipline, Brownfield Offshore machinery works in Oil & Gas
  • Trouble shooting and analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge in various Inspection and Condition monitoring techniques.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of International Codes and Standards in his own field and general knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Should be well familiar with ERP Programs such as MAXIMO & Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Computer literate.
