The senior project Planner is responsible overall for the Project and the Project results. He/She manages a project relevant to Telecomunication Systems, assuring the achievement of all project objective within the defined schedule and budget and with the expected quality and safety levels. He/She leads and manages the execution and the implementation of the project vis-à-vis with the Customers and in strict coordination with the other PMs of the project and the Company FunctionsROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Programme/ Planning/Project/ Construction Management.
  • Develop contract baseline Programme using all related contract documents, WBS, Cost & resources loading and any other relevant information to systematize projects data to ensure project competence.
  • Managing and facilitating the portfolio management process (Projects Requests & Resource Capacity plan)
  • Feasibility, Strategic planning for establishing milestones through pre and post construction phases (Procurement Design & Tender).
  • Prepare resource plans using productivity rate.
  • Prepare Operational Schedules to monitor project progress according to site conditions.
  • Preparation and monitoring on the production of the monthly/weekly/daily planning reports & KPIs
  • Reporting to PMO Manager on project progress and the critical issues with planning recommendation to mitigate any expected delays.
  • Prepare delay analysis with Commercial department for EOT
  • Follow up with Commercial department all delays and prepare letters to reserve our rights for claims
  • Follow up the whole project with client and Consultant to avoid any delays during project period
  • Responsible for the quality and approval of all internal / external project controls procedures, project schedules, cost reports and daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Prepares the Project Controls plan and supervises the development of all project controls procedures.
  • Prepare monthly planning progress report for the client
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED SKILLS
  • University Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunication or Computer).
  • At least 5 years experience in project management and at least 5 years in Communication and Control Systems projects, preferably gained in a foreign country.
  • 5-8 Years planning software experience such as Primavera 6, MS Project, Excel & power Bi
  • Good technical background of the following systems in the Metro or Railway environment: Communications and Control, Security, Passenger information comfort.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Arabic is a plus.
  • Willing to be relocated in the Middle East for a medium/long term period (> 3 years) and to business missions worldwide.
  • Team worker with strong leadership skills, able to manage teams and resources that do not necessarily report to him/her in the hierarchy.
  • Problem solver with a proactive attitude, business oriented with strong motivation to work towards targets.
  • - Proven experience in managing customers, stakeholders and complex projects in difficult contexts, with challenging targets, within a multicultural and international environment, facing multi-disciplinary technical areas
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as practicable.
  • To be aware of, and play an active role in the achievement of Thales HSE policy & objectives.
  • Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
  • To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended.
  • Lead by example and actively encourage departments to look at ways to conserve water & energy, minimize the generation of waste, and encourage recycling.
  • Every one within Thales has the right to stop work if they believe that their activities may affect their health and safety or that of others. In this circumstance, such conditions must be reported immediately to their line manager and the HSE department.
