- Lead gift shop project by developing shop strategy and sourcing third party operators.
- Shop planning and business model that meets sales KPI’s.
- Create a highly positive and memorable visitor experience that supports the Museum’s core purpose and encourages repeat visitation.
- Lead the store operator to achieve income goals, sales goals, and all operating objectives.
- Process sales of the shop following established accounting procedures to ensure the accurate processing of all POS transactions and inventory movements.
- Maintain a professional and positive presence on the sales floor.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in making selections to ensure the highest level of guest service is provided.
- Support the efficient operations of the online shop including but not limited to reorder of products and supplies and shipments.
- Assist with implementing the social media and marketing plan of the store.
- Perform other duties as called for to ensure the overall efficiency of the store and position.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as retail manager in institutions such as 5* Hotels or at a large scale visitor / leisure attraction.
- Experience of developing or contributing to sales strategies.
- Experience of managing third- party contractors.
- Knowledge of excellent customer service and visitor needs.
- Advanced level of point of sale software, sales analysis reporting, Microsoft Excel knowledge to review sales performance.
- Knowledge of the local market and customer expectations in the UAE.
- Fluency in Arabic & English.
