Job DescriptionOne position is available for a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics and Finance, College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University. The position is funded by the United Arab Emirates University. The projects focus on Sustainable Finance (i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)), and the projects are applied/empirical in nature. The position is for one year, with the possibility of an extension for another 6 months or one year depending on progress and funding availability. The successful candidate will work under the supervision and guidance of the project PI. The research progress will be monitored through regular meetings with the PI. Qualifications: - The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Finance from a reputable university with high-quality publications in Sustainable Finance (i.e Environmental Social and Governance (ESG)) or Corporate Finance & Governance. - Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, SAS, or R, or Python) and familiarity with relevant databases (e.g., Bloomberg, CRSP, Compustat). - Strong quantitative skills and experience in analyzing large datasets. - The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills; - An ability to work independently and in a team; fluency in English (spoken and written); and excellent organizational skills. - We welcome applications from all candidates interested in working on research projects that are applied/empirical in nature.
