:1. JOB PURPOSE:To lead, manage and supervise all Corrosion Control Functions under Asset Integrity for Company. To lead the development of advanced Corrosion Control, reliability methods and processes. To manage the development of scope of work of all Corrosion Control activities ensuring that latest approved technologies are applied and compliance with applicable international standards. To provide the full range of on and off site Corrosion Control duties including inspections, observations and reporting. To develop and maintain the required Corrosion Control process and procedures in line with best industry practices and based on approved applicable standards.2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:· Carries out duties in accordance with specifications and Company policies and regulations.· Evaluate and recommend potential contractors and suppliers for the CP services as required.· Analyses problem areas and recommend practical cost effective solutions.· Recommend and coordinate training requirements for Company and Contractor personnel in relevant areas.· Prepares reports and presentations as required and produce performance measurement tools to monitor contractors and project performance.· Attends and participates in technical meetings as required.· Develop activity specific SOPs (Standard operating procedures) and guidelines.· Determines ways to repair or prevent corrosion on underground steel gas pipelines, valves and above ground pressure reducing systems by uninterrupted periodical inspection and maintenance of corrosion protection system.· Monitor external interference from neighboring CP system with our catholically protected system.· Monitor external interference from above/under ground high tension power cable with our catholically protected system.· Ensure proper functioning of Transformer Rectifier Units and Deep Well Anode Beds installed for protection of underground pipelines by Impressed current system.· Ensure proper functioning of Sacrificial Anodes installed for protection of underground valves in underground HDPE network.· Regular inspection of coating and painting installed on above ground equipment and necessary repair work to be undertaken as required.· Regular (monthly CP system monitoring) and periodical (DCVG survey, ECDA, ICDA surveys and Intelligent Pigging etc) inspections and upkeep of HSECES as per Minimum Assurance Task undertaken.· Making plans using detailed drawings, preparing estimates and budgets, creating technical reports and completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues.· Ensure that all asset integrity data is entered and maintained in CMMS ( SAP-EAM).RequirementsMinimum Qualification· Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills· 10 years of engineering experience in corrosion control, asset integrity of steel pipelines and structures in oil & gas transmission and distribution pipeline assets.Professional Certifications· Membership of an appropriate and relevant Professional Institute.· Professional accreditation of ASNT/AWS/ISO Auditor required.· Trained and Certified CP Professional5. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:· Knowledge of Cathodic Protection of steel pipelines and structures
