:Job Summary & Responsibilities1. Operates the equipment assigned to him in a safe manner to ensure all work procedures andsafety codes are followed to prevent injury to all personnel and damage to equipment.2 . Conducts regularly pre and post inspections of the STS Crane and make sure that allabnormalities are reported to the CY Supervisor immediately.3. Perform First Line Maintenance when the need arises. Experienced operators of port equipmentor a driver of a truck must know how to perform first line maintenance, otherwise such peoplecannot be considered experienced and they should not be brought on site to Ruwais.4. Maintain continuous operation by using "hot seat" changeover at shift changeover times andfor operator rest break changeover.5. Report immediately any damage sustained by the vessel, STS Crane, container and/or anyother equipment during operations.6. Maintain the operator's cabin and lifts in a clean and tidy condition at all times.7. Achieve operational efficiencies within the parameters of the equipment's capacity.8. Instant data entry of containers movement into TOS.
