:JOB PURPOSE:

To manage 24x7 operations of COMPANY Emergency Operations Room.

To effectively address complaints received from the City Gas Call Centre and to co-ordinate with dispatch team with adequate resources (ERT) to site for timely resolution.

To ensure the network integrity and monitor pressures at the fag ends of the network.

To Manage Permit-to work of third party contractors working near gas pipelines /assets.

To ensure that all performed activities under this role is in compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at all times.

To ensure optimum utilization of available resources such as manpower, material, plant and equipment

Job Specific Accountabilities· To manage 24x7 operation of COMPANY Emergency Operations Room working in three shifts.· To effectively address complaints received from the City Gas Call Centre and dispatch adequate resources (ERT) to site.· Co-ordinate with ERT for resolution of the Emergency/ complaint and update the call centre the status.· Keep himself acquainted with overall City Gas network and shall ensure the availability of updated AS BUILT drawings (Master and working) in the Emergency Room.· Co-ordination with control rooms of AGP, DE, KIZAD as required.· Issuance of PTW for network activities after verifying all required documents with performing authority and site conditions with maintenance supervisors on site.· Issuance of PTW for third party construction activity in GIB after being verified with GIB technicians.· Maintain an updated register for all work in progress and close PTWs (in the system / register) of completed work.· Inventory control and management. Ensure availability of spares to technicians.· Maintain an updated register of incident reporting and investigation.

To oversee day to day operations of control room.

To monitor & control permit -to- works of the third party contractors working near live has pipelines /assets.

Follow up with the EOM Contractor to ensure prompt response to reported complaints from control room.

RequirementsMinimum Qualification· BE / BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Technical degree.OR· Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills· For Bachelor Degree, overall years minimum experience in in Natural Gas downstream or process plant , minimum 3 years’ experience in control room operations of Natural Gas transmission / distribution COMPANY or similar gas/ chemical process plant· For Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, overall 10 years minimum experience in Natural Gas downstream or process plant , minimum 5 years’ experience in control room operations of Natural Gas transmission / distribution COMPANY or similar gas/ chemical process plantTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:· Basic computer literacy including familiarity with applications software like MS Office and AutoCAD.· Excellent communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.· Fluency in Arabic language will be a positive advantage.

Valid U.A.E./Country of Origin Driving License.
