- Supervises the service, repair and maintenance activities of all Electrical Systems and Equipment including maintenance of low and medium Voltage Equipment, Switchgear, Control Panels, Instrumentation & Control Systems, Cathodic Protection system in the Plant, Equipment and Buildings at the multi product depot and Military Depot in Al Ain region.
- Reviews and allocates all daily work orders received from Depot/LPG Plant, for any maintenance works required. Coordinates with Maintenance Planning for scheduling and implementation of required repair and maintenance works.
- Coordinates with end users for all repairs, replacement, modification, calibration, overhaul etc. carried out by tradesmen to ensure smooth progress of all scheduled repair and preventive maintenance works.
- Ensures carrying out regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all electrical equipment and provides feedback and written reports on operational status in accordance to schedules, checklists and specific equipment requirements.
- Ensures that all breakdowns in his area of responsibility are attended to promptly and equipment is returned to service as soon as possible.
- Provides on the job supervision to technicians for all repairs, replacement, modification etc. and conducts inspections, monitor work progress and completions. Responsible to utilize technical expertise in providing troubleshooting of problems on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinates with Depot/ terminal Supervisors and LPG plant on the status of facility, preventive and repair work scheduling, processing of work orders and safety work permits.
- Handles administrative issues related to the electrical PM & CM works like preparing and generating Work Orders, SPO’s, SWO’s. Initiate and invoices after completion of maintenance works (in-house or contracted).
- Prepares total actual cost of works including manpower, equipment, spare parts, daily work activities, daily over time of craft men, monthly work orders report and submit to Maintenance Planning Section.
- Assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work
- Recommends improvements on work methods and keeps up to date with the latest work techniques and standards. Also, in charge of all electrical activities during plant shutdown
- Evaluates and analyses man hours and costs on individual, maintenance and modifications to ensure optimum utilisation of manpower and material resources in implementation of scheduled maintenance programs. • Periodically reviews the condition of equipment and systems for their performance in terms of efficiency and reliability and advises Team Leader for planning for replacement / upgradation
