Job DescriptionOversee execution of target operating model, roadmap and vision for Master & Reference dataDefine policies, standards, controls and process to support the governance of Master & reference data, ensuring data standardization and drive consistency across multiple systems/business applicationsPlay a fundamental gatekeeping role and data custodianship in safeguarding Master data from unauthorized access and changes that may impact the integrity of dataIn collaboration with the metadata management team, enforce data ownership and hold data owners and data stewards accountable where policies, standards and/or processes are not being adhered toGuide data stewards on best practices and methodologies that are appropriate for the improvement and maintenance of master & reference data under their departmental ownershipImplement a Master & Reference data management platform in order to improve efficiencies in identifying and resolving issues on a regular frequencyConsult with IT Enterprise Architecture to develop conceptual, logical and physical data model for master data subject areas and ensure that relevant entities and attributes are kept up to dateDocument all master data flows and validate these against the data lineage in order to identify misalignment of data flows that need to be rectifiedEstablish and maintain a RACI matrix for master data attribute updates in order to coordinate data changes with relevant stakeholders and owners of dataDefine and implement a suitable master data management implementation style and synchronization patterns for various data domains that is aligned to the defined Target Operating Model (TOM)Follow the communication plan to increase transparency of master data changes and ensure timely resolution of master data issues on priorityWork closely with the data quality management teams to prioritize data quality issues relating to master & reference dataMaintain reference data entities in accordance with ISO (or applicable standards) as the only permissible reference values acknowledged by DIB where such standards exist, else develop internal reference data in collaboration with data owners and approve these through relevant data governance committeesParticipate in data governance committees and report any identified trends impacting master data and provide expert guidance on sustainable issue resolutionIdentify and document root causes that degrade the quality of data and work with business and IT teams to prevent recurrences of known issuesCompetencies/SkillsMinimum 8-10 years of experience in Financial Services with deep knowledge in various Data Management disciplines: Master Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Quality, Business Intelligence, Data GovernanceMaster Data ManagementData Analysis (Excel, SQL etc.)Data Policy development and enforcementExpertise in data exchange modes and API managementData Architecture and Modeling in (structured and unstructured)Banking Products, services and operations knowledgeBanking/Operations workflow management
