- Review charter parties, contracts, and company obligations to ensure compliance.
- Provide marine support to crew for voyage criteria, cargo handling, and ship maintenance.
- Identify and rectify deviations from operational standards for efficient ship operation.
- Establish required certifications for safe operation in adherence to maritime laws and regulations.
- Oversee security, safety, and operational performance of ships, ensuring timely completion of activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance to reduce hazards.
- Liaise with external parties like brokers and insurance companies.
- Maintain vessel filing systems and address non-conformities promptly.
- Assist seafarers with maritime regulations, HR guidance, and safety policies.
- Conduct internal audits, vessel inspections, and prepare budget proposals.
- Monitor vessel maintenance and approve relevant requests and invoices.
- Provide data for analytical reports and share operational concerns with clients.
- Conduct sea crew performance evaluations and participate in interviews and briefings.
- Familiarity with environmental, commercial, and marine regulations.
- Knowledge of OCIMF/CDI guidelines preferred.
- Experience in audits, incident investigation, and HSSEQ compliance.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations such as SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM/ISPS Code.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong people management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in English, with multilingualism advantageous.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
