:JOB PURPOSE:Provide technical support and advice in the area of energy management engineering, and in setting Company objectives policy, strategy, and KPI’s related to Energy Management and provide expert services related to the design, construction, commissioning and operations of the new and existing oil and gas production, transport and export facilities and machinery. Ensure correct and consistent design practices and philosophies are applied in the different projects at the different stages of projects in line with company’s objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Directs the conceptualizing, definition, design and execution of energy projects and provides technical support and counselling services related to energy management. Provides expert technical advice for increasing efficiency of the energy systems include mechanical, electrical, process, control and building systems and equipment such as water and gas injection, pumping and compression facilities, power generation and transmission, drivers and movers,combustion equipment, heating and cooling processes, steam systems, lighting and HVAC. Recommends acceptance/ rejection of works and activities related to energy efficiency in the proposed new developments, expansion and modifications, remodelling and new equipment purchase, and conducts necessary audits and reviews to optimize the energy efficiency. Provides expert technical advice on practical means of optimizing energy efficiency and minimizing Green House Gas (GHG) emissions of new projects and existing operations. Develops and maintains the Company’s specifications, standards and procedures, related to energy engineering and technology, to ensure consistency in engineering approaches, avoid diversity in technical requirements and improve cost effectiveness and ensures adherence of the projects with the prescribed standards. Reviews and analyzes the work of consultants and contractors to provide professional recommendations to support the integrity and effectiveness of energy efficiency measures in the project development. Participates and contributes to the project integrity and value improvement practices including design and Peer Reviews, Risk identification/mitigation, Value Engineering, PHSERS and HAZOP Sets up and ensures compliance with energy performance standards for efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and facility. Manages energy audits / surveys on the existing facility/ plant to identify energy conservationopportunities, recommend solutions, conduct techno-economical feasibility studies for the alternatives and monitor implementation. Coordinates establishing baseline for energy consumption and developing energy management database by setting up a monitoring and reporting mechanism and maintain regular updating. Oversees performance tests of energy systems, evaluates the testing results against the performance targets and authorize acceptance of performance testing.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in Engineering Discipline.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 6 years of experience.
