Accounting Specialist - Expense

- Checking and verifying complex employee expense reports (e.g., team events)
- Verifying expense reports submissions are in accordance with company
- Proactively suggest improvements to the expense policy if needed
- Act as a point of contact for employees on complex expense related queries
- Provide feedback to the Global Financial Operations Services team to support continuous improvement
- Process expense reimbursement as scheduled
- Ensure that any applicable deductions are correctly applied against the expense reimbursement
- Reconcile the Oracle payment batch to the bank upload
- Proactively suggest improvements on the method of payment if needed
- Handle all expense reimbursement queries from the bank in a timely and accurate manner
- Assess the aging of expense reports and plan for their reimbursement accordingly
- Reconcile unpaid expense reports at month-end to the general ledger
- Candidates must be degree educated in Accounting or Finance discipline with experience in a professional services environment
- Experience in expense / employee reimbursement auditing preferred, this would suit an individual in the earlier stages of their career
- Candidates should have a strong sense of Customer service and address issues and suggest solutions
- You must be an increasingly independent contributor, including when faced with missing information
- You must have the ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
