UAV TECHNICIAN

• Assemble, install, and configure UAV systems and components according to engineering specifications and technical documentation during prototyping stages as well as production stages.
• Conduct pre-flight checks, system testing, and calibration procedures to ensure the functionality and performance of UAVs before deployment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of UAV components to prevent mechanical failures and ensure operational readiness.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including electrical, mechanical, and software problems, and implement corrective actions to restore UAV functionality.
• Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning UAV parts, such as motors, propellers, sensors, and communication systems, using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on UAVs, including recording test results, component serial numbers, and maintenance history.
• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UAV operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, pilots, and operations personnel, to support UAV missions and ensure operational success.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in UAV maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience of 4 years working with UAVs, drones, or aerospace systems is a must.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment for assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, including wiring, connectors, and soldering techniques, is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to troubleshoot and repair UAV systems and components.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately to ensure the safety and reliability of UAV operations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work in varied environments, including indoor workshops, outdoor flight test sites, and potentially remote field locations.
