:Security Team LeaderThe Security team leader provides the 24/7 operational coverage of Security and manages the on-site security service provider team. Reporting to the Security team permanent staff and working closely with the Senior Security Officer of the company, the role holder will assist in the inspection and surveillance of the company premises and security management of the different access points, working to optimize the protection of assets (artworks, buildings, and exteriors) and the people (visitors, employees, and contractors on site).Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assists the Senior Security Officer and/or Security Unit Head with organizing security guarding planning and deployment to ensure optimal use of resources to carry out all the tasks related to the Security needs of the company.
  • This includes responsibility for Security Control Room operations, responding to incidents, reviewing, and approving reports, reviewing, and approving access requests, providing operational reports to management, conducting investigations, and coordinating with other departments to assist them with their operations and ensure continuity of security operations.
  • As the 24/7 representative the role holder must also act as the Incident Commander (Bronze Leader) within the incident handling and crisis management structure and works closely the the Senior Security Officer or Security Unit in developing and implementing the unit’s operational plans in line with the company vision, mission, and strategic goals
  • Monitors the surveillance of all the company areas including all access points and exit controls for all types of audiences and visitors
  • Participates in security investigations and resolves security breaches and conducts formal and dynamic risk assessments and analysis to mitigate potential consequences and develop a plan to respond to incidents
  • Ensures security of the company assets and provide a protected and reliable environment to maximize performance of all the teams and stakeholders through the implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the security services provider instructions, procedures and post orders are in place, are current and reflect the requirements of the company security needs.
  • Provides daily supervision plans for the security supervisors and guards against key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Monitors performance and addresses challenges with security operations though the creation of a positive working environment.
  • Translates operational goals into functional and achievable objectives.
  • Assists in assessing the suitability of incumbent security supervisors and guards and ensures they are adequately trained and authorized for their role.
  • Participates in team briefings and provide training and awareness to the teams and coach the supervisory teams to meet expectations.
  • Monitoring of existing threats to the company and keeping abreast of new ones and implement preventative measures.
  • Ensure the security services provider staff welfare is being administered in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Investigate security incidents and complaints and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Timely issuance of reports.
  • Oversee security operations during events.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedure and oversee the security services providers performance in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Supports with VIP visits and collaborates with the Visitor Services team to ensure a positive and secure visitor experience.
  • Creates a positive and approachable environment for all colleagues and visitors and contribute to maintaining and fostering effective relationships with frontline staff, management, contractor, and service providers.
  • Liaison with authorities as needed.
  • Prepares reports on current activities, incidents, progress, and budget for the Senior Security Officer
  • Attends meetings with different stakeholders and ensures that all security needs are met and delivered
  • Any other duty relevant to the post.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years of experience in Security management in a medium to large organization
  • Solid knowledge in Security and Health, Safety regulations
  • Experience in leading, managing and training security personnel
  • Experience in overseeing the performance of a security services provider
  • Experience of emergency response, incident handling and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in delivering security training and awareness
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with event and VVIP security protocols (preferred)
  • Fluency in Arabic, English & French (preferred)
